Day One, Tuesday, September 7th
Policy Session:
Local manufacturing and security of supply
What is driving the PV market in COVID times? And what can we expect in the coming months and years? While one could have believed the epidemic is near over and the business is restarting on fresh new bases, constraints actually remain on business, trade, and industry. This session will browse through the situation of the PV market and industry in general, globally, and highlight the possible future paths for development.

Solar Mobility Forum- Part 1
Organized by ESMC, SOLARUNITED, ETIP-PV, and ETA-Florence Renewable Energies in collaboration with IEA PVPS Task 17
Solar mobility becomes a reality with the need for EVs to be powered by renewable electricity. But this is only the tip of the iceberg since PV-powered cars are being developed, and solar produced green hydrogen is increasingly announced as a promising energy vector for the decarbonization of transport.

Session 3: Cells
How far are new cell concepts from industrialization?
In this session, we will provide an overview of the promising new/advanced PV-cell technologies. We will identify what are the technical and non-technical enablers and drivers, for the introduction and establishment of these technologies in the market. Finally, we will explore the prospects associated with these technologies for (re)building a European-based value chain.
